Honor takes my hand. “Thank you, Ethan. Thank you for coming today. It must not have been easy to get off of work.” Now she takes my other hand. “I mean, I had no idea you actually worked for the President. When did you start doing that?”

As if by magic, or at Tamlin’s request,
"Your Song" by Elton John comes over the speakers.

“Remember this song,
Eeth?” Honor asks innocently.

If she only knew. Though it wasn’t Elton John’s version, I picked this song for her prom playlist because of how much those words meant to me – back then as well as now. My gift may not have been a song like the man in the song gives to his girl. It’s not the house or the potions or whatever else he wishes he could offer. It’s what he is
able
to offer her that he gives to prove his love for her. My gift to Honor has always been my heart. Maybe not in the literal sense that Storm tried to give her. Or that poor Trisha unintentionally gave her.

I handed my heart to Honor the only way I knew how – by keeping her safe.

She may or may not know the torch I hold just for her, but she knows I’d give my life for her. She knows I
gave
my life for her. I may not get to hold her every night before she goes to sleep, but I can sleep peacefully, knowing she can sleep in peace.

As I hold Honor in my arms as the song comes to an end, I tighten my grasp, knowing that the next time I get to hold her will be in my dreams.

When I kiss the top of her head and breathe in her scent one last time, I thank God that He put me in her life for me to love.

The End

To My Readers

Thank you for reading my trilogy. These characters have become my family and I hate to say goodbye to them. Hopefully, with any luck, I will be able to say hello to them again when a big-time production company transforms it into a movie. (Fingers crossed)

Anyway, I’d like to say that I know some of you may not be happy with who Honor chose – it was a hard decision. But I felt the story needed to end this way. Someone had to lose Honor, and judging by their characters, and what makes Ethan and Storm tick, this was the only way I could end it. My characters made the choices they did based on who they were.

From the beginning I knew it would be just as hard for me to choose who Honor would choose as it would be for Honor. It was not an easy decision for her or for me, but if I switched around who ended up with her, you’d have to agree, it wouldn’t work.

Since one of my handsome men had to say goodbye to Honor forever, I feel that he should have his own future story to tell. So this isn’t goodbye to him. Stay tuned for his story.

Thank you so much for reading The Honor Trilogy.

If you could leave me a review, good or bad, on Amazon, I would greatly appreciate it. It will help spread the word about The Honor Trilogy. Thank you again.
