Instead, I was a virgin. Because I couldn't see myself with any other men besides them.

"So, Holly, you got access to the booze?" Joel said. "I don't think I can convince my bro to sneak us more, especially of the kinds we like. "

"My idiot father is really bad at hiding the key. He left it fully stocked too. We got no shortage of the good stuff."

"Gonna get so wasted tonight," Alan said. "He still likes the S'more Schnapps, right?"

"Nice healthy supply waiting for you."

We reached the school, and our home rooms called us to different sides of the building. "Gonna all meet in the evening at Holly's place, right guys?" Colin added.

Everyone nodded.

"Good. That's when the fun starts to happen."

I'd always been a tomboy of sorts. Up in the attic there rots a Fisher-Price Kitchen Set, barely used. Alongside it are Barbie dolls who lost their arms because I made them fight each other a little too hard.

My mother figured this out eventually. I was hooked on boys stuff - action figures, legos, video games, and whatever else. She wasn't the least bit surprised when she found out that all of my best friends were boys.

I dread that I had to be contrary to society's wishes. If I was a girly girl, I would have never gotten along with them so well. I wouldn't be in this situation where I was facing the pain of not having what I direly wanted. Or perhaps the slightest change in chemistry eighteen years and nine months ago that would have destined me to be a boy instead. None of them were gay, so there'd be no problem.

As cruel as fate would be, I'd probably end up a gay guy lusting after all of them.

The booze was readily available and laid out. My father was such an idiot he thought hiding the liquor cabinet key on the back of the refrigerator would be enough, knowing that both my mother and I weren't the tallest individuals.

He forgot about the existence of step-ladders, to me, as well as the boys, benefit.

I'd just beg forgiveness - it was always easier than asking for permission.

The bell rang, and the clock told me it was likely them. I glanced in a nearby mirror, fixing my hair, making sure my clothes looked good.

Then I shook my head and tried to make it slightly askew again.
Stop trying to attract them, Holly. That's not going to help your fascination with them.

Opening the door, Colin, Joel, and Alan all barged in. They were each carrying bags.

"What's the occasion, boys?"

They set them down on a nearby table. Alan turned to me first. "What happens in two weeks?"

A little bit of my thought ran through my head. "My birthday. So what?"

"We just couldn't wait to give you these gifts, Holly," Joel said, a devious grin on his face.

The other boys laughed, and I suddenly felt scared of what was in those bags.

Good reason to, I guess. There was usually a gag gift before the real thing. Usually something disgusting or insulting, like a cheesy knockoff Twilight shirt when I went through that phase of fandom. I got better.

"I guess it would be rude of me to not trust you guys as far as I can throw you?" I crossed my arms.

"You can trust us," Joel replied. "I'll help you some distance on the throw. I'll jump into the throw, you know, like they do in the WWE."

I exhaled. "Let's get this over with."

The three boys found their seat on the couch, looking to me with anticipation.

The first bag, which was labeled Colin's. I pushed away the useless paper, and pulled it out.

Black, lacy lingerie.

I immediately blushed, and blushed hard.

"I think that'd look really good on you, Holly," he said from his seat.

"Isn't this - um, a bit intimate to be giving me as a friend?"

"Hey, just because we're friends, it doesn't mean I can't admire the body you got."

My heart started to beat.
No, don't you dare start flirting with me like this. I couldn't take it. You don't put a big bloody steak in front of a hungry dog
.

"Thank you so much," I said, forcing sarcasm. "I'll be sure to think of you when I wear it for a future boyfriend."

They all nervously laughed at my joke. They made themselves laugh. Was I just stomping on their balls talking like that?

"Holly, why not check out my gift?" Joel said, breaking the uneasy silence.

I shoved the lingerie back in the bag, and moved onto Joel's. What came out was less intimate, I supposed, but slightly more insulting. "A wonderbra, Joel? Seriously?"

"I didn't know how it'd go. I got the receipt for you to return it. Well, if you can prove to us that you don't need it."

I trembled. "You think I'm going to show you guys my tits?"

"Well, you say you don't need a wonderbra. We just want to know if you're telling the truth is all."

I shook my head slamming the bra back in the bag. "I'm sure your search for truth is all you're after."

"There's a lot of truth we'd like to see, wouldn't we boys?" Joel elbowed the other boys to their united laughter.

"Some truths are never meant to be discovered," I replied. I went to the next bag, wanting to just get it over with.

I pulled the item out of the bag. I stared at it for a moment, then I stared at Alan, unblinking.

Silence followed.

"Do you need help figuring out what it is, Holly?" Alan spoke up.

"I know exactly what it is."

"You sure? Because I'll teach you how to use it. I think you'd really like it once you get the hang of it."

I flung it at him. He blocked the dildo with his shoulder. Maybe I should have just shoved it down his throat and saw how he liked it.

"You guys are fucking jerks, you know that right?"

"That's just what friends are for."

I looked for something else to throw. I found a piece of wax fruit.

Joel jumped up and stole it from me. "Whoa, whoa, Holly. You know we mean it in good humor. We had our fun. How about we move onto the booze to cloud our judgment and our rage?"

I laughed. "Sure, I'll get right to it."

I headed into the kitchen, and started to grab glasses and bottles. I'd read a few online guides about how to do some amateur bar-tending because I wanted to be able to treat them to some of the good stuff and not just beer. A rum and coke for Colin. Orange juice with whiskey for Joel. Straight S'more schnapps for Alan - didn't even need a glass, I would just hand the bottle right to him.

My mind would never be free of them, would it? I went out of my way to learn to do something to please them. I memorized their specific tastes for liquor. I could probably name each of their favorite foods, non-alcoholic beverage, movie, TV show, video game, color, and whatever the hell else.

All of the information just flowed rapidly through my mind. Chili, Orange Soda,
Robin Hood: Men in Tights
,
Breaking Bad
,
Final Fantasy 6
, blue for Colin.

I was obsessed with them. Like my obsession was on the level of trekkies knowing the hospital Captain Picard was born in or something.

Now they were making passes at me. Were they trying to send me to me to a mental institution?

Another deep breath of air as I returned to the main room, and handed out the drinks.

"You always know how to hit the spot, Holly," Colin said after a gulp of ColaRum.

"Let's get you buzzed too," Joel said, putting his drink off to the side. "If we're drunk and you're sober, I don't know if we can trust you not to take advantage of us."

"I can assure you, that's not an issue," I replied. "Besides, can I trust you not to mess with my drink? All the campus life advisories say that as a young woman I shouldn't trust strangers with my drink."

"I'm not a stranger, Holly?" Joel asked, confused.

"You are a very strange man, though."

He shook his head with a low chuckle. "I'm insulted you even implied I would do something like that to you Holly. You know we all love you and want the very best for you."

We all love you. It was meant to be a throwaway line but it stung me hard. I shook myself free of it.

"Drink for Holly, coming up."

As Joel left, I turned my attention to Colin and Alan. They were both gazing at me, and I closed my eyes. Why were they making what was supposed to be a fun hang out night so stressful for me?

They were never this flirtatious. Not ever. When I got boobs a few years ago, they teased me about it. I had feelings even then, but at least I had the sense to think it was only a mild crush, and nothing more.

"The girliest of girl drinks, for the girl." Joel came back with a bright green glass and handed it to me.

I accepted it. "I like it because it tastes good. That so wrong? You guys are being irritating with all of this," I said, hoping to subtly cool them off.

"With what," Alan replied.

"With the whole me being a girl thing. I'm your friend guys. I don't want to be treated any differently than you treat each other, just because I have different plumbing down there. Please, just do that."

A silence followed. I wondered if they knew that they all shared feelings for me, and were just going along with the tease?

In a perfect world, we'd all just tell the truth. The world is imperfect, and my lust festers inside me, because I can't imagine eighteen-year-old hormone ridden boys getting along after one takes the other's woman they love.

With the way things were going though, could I even be around them as friends for much longer?

The night rolled on. We drank, none of us getting to the point of stumbling over drunk. We watched two movies, both chosen due to their perceived awfulness.

They delivered.

We played a board game even.

"Only midnight," Joel said. "No one is seriously tired, are they?"

"I ain't," Colin piped up.

"Me neither," Alan added.

They all looked at me. "What? You think my delicate feminine sensibilities are going to make me call it early?"

The three shared a laugh with one another.

"Hey, I got the new Mario Kart game," I added, heading towards my bedroom. "Why don't we play that? Break it in. I haven't even touched it yet."

"What, so you can kick all our asses again, Holly?" Colin said.

"I didn't know I was the most manly out of everyone," I responded.

"Oh, you're on now," Joel said, the boys getting up and setting out to follow me.

The group made its way to my bedroom. A nice Queen-sized bed was in the center along with a decently sized TV opposite it. I swapped out the game discs and booted up the system, then handed out controllers for everyone.

The boys shared a glance and nod with one another, before Joel spoke for them. "Hey, let's make this interesting. Why don't we make a bet for each race?"

"Oh, really?" I replied. "Should we go get whiskey? Vodka? Do shots? I thought drinking and driving was discouraged."

"No, no, Holly. Not anything like that. We all got blackout drunk once and we decided we didn't like it. Mainly because hangovers kinda suck."

"Then what do you suggest? Strip Video Games?"

"Exactly."

I laughed at the absurdity. "You can't be serious."

"These are the rules I'm thinking. Whoever comes in last place, loses clothing. Shoes," He said, glancing at Alan, the only person still wearing them, "and socks don't count. If you loose and are already buck naked, you gotta do something naughty."

"You really can't be serious. Why on earth would I agree to that? You guys just want to see me naked. Like the perves you've magically become in the past day."

"Think about it Holly," Joel continued. "Usually when we play these games, who utterly kicks our ass? You. I just want to give us guys something to strive for."

He was right, of course. I had the most dexterous thumbs of the group. I usually just won everything when it came to video games. "Fine, sure. You guys aren't going to see a single thing. But I'll see all your floppy dicks and laugh at them." It didn't strike me until after I said it that it could have ended up being a bad idea - that I actually wanted to see those big floppy dicks.

"Sounds like we got a fun game already and we haven't already started."

Everyone settled on their controls, shared another glance at one another, and Alan removing his shoes to put us on even ground.

Heck, I had nothing to worry about. I had four things to lose, they probably only had three each - two if they believed in the philosophy of freeballing.

Even if I lost three, though, they would be seeing more of me than they ever had before.
