His gaze moved past her and he stared into his friend’s eyes. “Let’s do this.”

* * *

Shock washed over Virginia when Quinn pressed down on her back. With hands on either side of Jake’s head, she quivered in anticipation as Quinn pressed one oiled finger between her ass cheeks. She jerked forward when the tip of one finger entered her. Her body tensed even more when he tried to add a second one.

“Relax, baby. That’s the only way this is going to work.” Quinn continued to work his fingers inside her, but it was slow going.

Seconds from calling the whole thing off, she glanced down at Jake, who stared back at her. His eyes appeared as anxious as she felt.

She leaned forward and kissed him. His lips, drawn into a hard line, softened when she traced the seam with her tongue. Kissing Jake was quickly becoming an addiction. Soon their kiss became something wet and sloppy. Yeah, Quinn was still sliding those chilly fingers into her, but it had gone from painful to pleasurable.

By now Jake’s hands were on her waist urging her to move, and when she did, Quinn slipped his fingers out of her. He took a hold of her ass, a hand on each cheek, and positioned the head of his cock. She rocked back as Quinn pushed forward, and he slid into her with one smooth movement.

Virginia and Jake gasped one after another. Quinn went still behind her.

“I can feel him. Am I supposed to feel him?” Jake’s eyes were shut tight as he appeared to work through the whole concept.

As opposed to the two very confused men, she wanted more. Her body demanded it. Two almost identical cocks filled her, and every movement no matter how small set off major shockwaves to her over-sensitized body. She shifted, but only impaled herself more completely on Quinn’s cock. The men grunted, but she continued to pump her hips, fucking them both.

The first to recover from whatever weird sort of having sex with another man issues he might have, Quinn buried one hand in her hair. He tugged back while the other landed on her shoulder, holding her in place. “You like this, huh?”

She arched her back and he rewarded her with a hard thrust. She pushed forward, pinning Jake to the bed, but he didn’t seem to mind. Instead, he cupped her breasts and squeezed. “Do you, Virginia?”

Her power of speech fled when Quinn yanked her back onto his cock. “Yeah, she likes having two big dicks at once. Don’t you?”

Her beleaguered brain processed the fact that Quinn must like dirty talk. This utterly bizarre in a fantastic way ménage was so much better than she could have imagined, but she didn’t know how much more she could take. “I love it. Fuck me harder.” She rolled her hips, creating a manic rhythm.

Quinn was the first to come. His cock swelled and with three agonizingly slow strokes he came inside her. As Quinn lifted himself off her, Jake’s hands guided her into a new rhythm. When Jake grabbed her ass, squeezed and pulled her down fully onto his cock, yet another orgasm threatened. When he slid a hand between them to drag a single finger over her clit, her pussy clenched, and she gave in to the building sensation that shot through her belly.

He gasped. Arms wrapped around her chest, keeping her body flush against his. He thrust a few more times before his eyes flew open and he came with a low drawn-out groan. She couldn’t move. Quinn lay beside them, grinning. His erection was no more. A smile teased at her lips, but fell away as quickly as it came. Why was he still here?

Chapter Eight

Virginia tried to sit up, but Jake tightened his arms around her. “No.”

She squirmed, and he nuzzled her neck. “Let me go.”

“No.” This time he nipped at her earlobe to emphasize his point.

Quinn pulled himself up into a sitting position and chuckled.

“But Quinn is still here.”

Jake scowled. “You are not sleeping with him again.
Not ever again
.”

“Is that all you care about?”

“You’re mine.”

“Your friend is suffering and all you can manage is some misguided alpha male behavior.”

Jake’s right eyebrow lifted. “Suffering?”

She glanced at Quinn, and he grinned back. “I wouldn’t describe the way I feel at the moment with that exact word.”

“Ugh, you are both such men. And you.” She jabbed two fingers at Jake’s chest. “What gave you the idea I’m yours?”

“I think the way you cried out his name while riding his cock could give a person that impression.” Quinn smirked and held up his hand to high-five Jake.

“Seriously, after all this you’re on his side. What? Is this some kind of bro code thing?” She glared at Quinn. The beginnings of an epic tirade formed in her mind, but her words died when a soft glow surrounded him. She reached out to touch him, but only a cool mist remained where he had moments ago been flesh and bone.

Jake popped up. “What’s happening? He was there and now he’s gone.”

“I think the energy is fading.”

“Is he gone yet?”

“No, but I can barely see him.”

Jake grabbed her shoulders. “Tell him that I’ll miss him.”

Quinn smiled and said something, but she could no longer hear him. “It looks like he said, ‘I know.’”

Jake fell back and laughed. His body shook so much that she slid off him onto the middle of the bed. When she sat up, the room was empty, except for her and Jake. And Jake had gone silent, eyes focused on the ceiling. “Are you okay?” She cuddled up beside him and placed her hand over his heart. The steady beat soothed her.

“Did you know that Quinn got a perfect score on his SATs?” She shook her head.

“No one did because he never took anything seriously. He could have gone to any college, but he ran off to Hollywood to be a stunt man.”

Propped up on one elbow, she brushed damp strands of hair away from his forehead. She wanted to brush away the hurt as well, but it wasn’t that easy.

He laid his hand over hers and pressed it to his cheek. “I was never able to do anything like that. You know, cut loose. It made me hate him a little. I think that’s why I just couldn’t let things go after he died. I felt guilty.” His eyes held hers.

The world shrunk down to this small, dingy room. She placed a lingering kiss on his lips. When she pulled away, a whisper of a smile crossed his lips. “I never wanted anything to happen to him.”

“I know.” She placed a hand on his shoulder.

His chest swelled as he drew in a deep breath. He glanced up at her. “The year before he died, we fought whenever he came home to visit.” He pulled himself up to the edge of the bed and pulled off the used condom. His head rested in his hands. “You don’t have to stick around now that he’s gone.”

Her body tensed. “What?”

“It’s okay. I know it was Quinn you wanted.”

“He’s dead.”

“And he still got to have sex with you.” He stared at her with a flat expression.

“What the hell are you talking about?” She pulled the blanket in front of her body.

“Quinn. You did this for him. I know you have a thing for him.”

She jumped up and slipped on her dress. “Well yeah, I wanted to help him, but I did it because you asked.”

He licked his lips and stared down at the floor. “Asking you to help was just an excuse to talk to you.”

She shook her head. Were they talking about the same thing?

He snaked out a hand to pull her in front of him and pressed his face into her breast. “All I wanted was one date with you, but you never seemed interested. So, I used the first excuse I could think of to get closer to you instead of just asking you out. I know --”

She placed a finger over his lips. His gaze lifted to meet hers. Virginia replaced her finger with her mouth, and kissed the idiotic man with every fiber of her being. Jake returned her kiss with a passion that would have made her weep if it hadn’t awoken her body.

She ended the kiss and smiled down at him. “I don’t care how or why you finally approached me. I’m only glad that you did. I had sex with you and plan to do so again in the near future because I want to. It had nothing to do with any unrequited feelings for Quinn.”

A grin pulled at the corner of his lips. He tugged at her dress. “I have to warn you. I am nothing like him. I’d rather play video games than watch sports. I prefer
Star Wars
to
Star Trek
, and --”

“Aren’t they the same things?” He groaned, and his hands dropped from her waist. By some miracle she didn’t giggle. “I’m teasing.” She placed a hand under his chin and forced his face up to meet her gaze. “If you don’t mind the occasional séance, I won’t mind that you aren’t quite normal either. Deal?”

His eyes crinkled at the corner from a barely-there smile, and he nodded. She shrugged her dress off. When he kissed her breasts one after the other, she raked her hands through his hair. “I have an idea.”

His cock twitched against her leg, and he reached for a condom from the nightstand.

She laughed. “That wasn’t what I was talking about.” Jake froze. “Oh, don’t look at me like that. There is nothing I would rather do than make love in this bed to just you and you alone, but I was thinking about afterward.”

His fist tightened around the condom. “After?”

“Yes, after tonight when we go back to our normal lives.” She stepped away from him and crawled to the middle of the bed. “Come here.” When he hesitated, she reached over and wrapped a hand around his already hard length. With no resistance, he settled on top of her.

In between the kisses she sprinkled over his neck and upper chest, Virginia said, “Here is what I think. Tonight, we have sex as many times as humanly possible, without anyone or anything else involved. And tomorrow, we go on a date.”

“A date?” His mouth, hot and needy, traced the shell of her ear.

She shuddered. “Yes, I want to date you. If we can do the dating thing half as well as the sex part, I am never letting you out of my sight.”

His hand snaked between them to slip on the condom. “As you wish.”

As he slid into her wet heat with a satisfied groan, she whispered into his ear, “I think I love you too.”

She felt his lips pull into a grin against her neck moments before he whispered, “I know.”
