Li’l Boo called and spoke to Kessia every night before she went to sleep and sent her lots of gifts through the mail. He never asked to speak to Keisha, so therefore Keisha never asked to speak to him. It was over, and as much as Keisha missed Li’l Boo’s touch and love, she was learning to accept the fact that it was over.

Keisha had had a long, tiresome day. After doing walk-throughs at her businesses and looking at different properties with the real estate agent, Keisha picked her daughter up from piano lessons and headed back to her grandmother’s house. She needed a fat blunt, a hot bath, and her bed, in that exact order.

When they pulled up to her grandmother’s house, Keisha dragged inside, dreading all of her grandmother’s questioning. Inside, Keisha announced that they were home and then headed straight up the stairs to the bedroom she and her children were occupying.

“Wait a minute, let me see your face, Pudding. I missed you guys today.” Grandma Ethel came out of the kitchen where she was preparing dinner. “I’m making one of your favorite meals: meatloaf, asparagus, and loaded mashed potatoes. I even baked a peach cobbler too. Joseph went out to get some ice cream.” Grandma Ethel hugged and kissed her granddaughter.

“Thanks, G-Ma. I’m going to put the baby to sleep and take a quick nap. I’m really tired.” Keisha was surprised that her grandmother hadn’t started drilling her with questions.
FINALLY!
Keisha screamed inside.

Grandma Ethel took the baby from Keisha’s arms. “Give me the little champ. I’ll take him off your hands for a little while so that you can get some rest. You’ve been doing so much and I’m awfully proud of you, Pudding.” Her grandmother pinched her on the cheek and smiled. “Now go on, Kessia will be my little helper.” Grandma Ethel took Kessia’s hand.

Keisha smiled happily. “Aw, thanks, G-Ma. I love making you proud.”

When Joseph walked in the house with the ice cream, Keisha hugged him on her way up the stairs. Over the weeks, Keisha had grown quite fond of him.

Ready to roll up a blunt and smoke it in the backyard, Keisha walked into her bedroom relived, but she nearly jumped out of her skin when she realized that Li’l Boo was sitting on her bed. “What are you doing here?” Seeing Li’l Boo caused Keisha to fight her tears back.

“I’m here to get my woman back. What, you thought I was gon’ let one of these country-ass niggas steal you away from me, Li’l Mama?” Li’l Boo walked up to Keisha, dying to hold and kiss her lips. “You still my ride or die bitch, baby?”

Keisha was speechless. Her heart had let her down so many times that she didn’t know if she should listen to it and jump into Li’l Boo’s arms and scream, “Yes!” Keisha wanted Li’l Boo more than anything in the world, but she was so scared of getting hurt again. Puzzled, Keisha’s mind began to go a mile a minute.
Li’l Boo came back for me, he hasn’t given up on me…on us. But my son… Li’l Boo will never love my son enough to be a part of my life.
Keisha shook her head no. No matter how badly she wanted him, she just couldn’t.

In better health than ever, Li’l Boo got down on one knee and then looked up into Keisha’s teary brown eyes. “I lost focus for a minute, Li’l Mama; I’m human. But I never lost sight of you. I carried you in my heart day and night since the last time I seen you.” Visions of Keisha on her knees pleading for them crossed his mind as it had every day since the last time he’d seen her. “Our love brought me back to you, and it kept you for me.” Li’l Boo paused, presenting Keisha with an even bigger black diamond than before. “I’m not taking no for an answer, and I won’t leave without a fight. I love you -”

But the voices of her grandmother and Joseph interrupted their moment. Joseph could be heard asking her grandmother if Keisha accepted Li’l Boo’s proposal.

“Shhh, I’m still waiting to hear her answer for myself,” Grandma Ethel shushed her husband.

Eyes full of tears, Keisha couldn’t help but smile.
My grandmother is so damn nosy!
She wiped her eyes, looking toward the bedroom door, and spat, “I hear you, G-Ma!”

Joseph replied, “We were just getting some towels out the closet for dinner. Now you go ahead and give that man an answer. We’ll be downstairs setting the table.”

“Say yes, Pudding!” Grandma Ethel
exclaimed.
“Kevin’s a good, good man. We’ve been speaking over the phone for weeks. Give him another chance, Pudding. You have my blessings,” Grandma Ethel said as Joseph ushered her toward the stairs.

Keisha looked at Li’l Boo, giggling in total bliss. “You got my G-Ma in on this too…and she’s on your side?”

Li’l Boo stood up and lifted Keisha’s face to his. Looking her deep in the eyes, he went in for a kiss, gently planting a kiss on Keisha’s soft lips. “I had to call in the big dogs for this one, Li’l Mama. I gotta have you. I have your mother on speed dial for back up. Do I need to call her?” Li’l Boo stroked his finger along the side of Keisha’s face. He had been missing her terribly

Keisha got lost in Li’l Boo’s eyes. “What about your feelings toward my son?” Keisha wanted to know. She recalled the words that Li’l Boo fought back so hard to keep from saying back in the hotel in Cali, but she knew deep down inside that Li’l Boo held a certain amount of
bitterness to
ward her son.

Li’l Boo didn’t remove his eyes from Keisha’s. He knew the question would come up after he had left her with that impression. “What’s yours is mine and what’s mine is yours. I hold no resentment toward your son, Li’l Mama, nor will there ever be any difference in treatment between him and Kessia. We’re a team, a family, and there is no ‘I’ in ‘we’. I need you to believe me. I’m in this for the long haul, mama.”

Weak for Li’l Boo, Keisha wrapped her arms around him, slipped her tongue in his mouth, and then passionately kissed him. In between breaths, she said, “I’m glad you never led me astray. I love you, Li’l Boo. Now give me my ring back and let’s make this official, once and for all.”

Li’l Boo happily slid the exquisite black diamond ring onto Keisha’s ring finger. Afterwards, she ran downstairs to show off her ring and they celebrated over dinner with her family.

Kessia was overjoyed. As her baby brother swung in his baby swing, Kessia said to him, “Yay, baby brother, Mommy’s marrying my father and I’ll share him with you too! He’s the best dad ever - the best!” she said happily. “Do you hear me, Cameron Jr.?” Kessia asked, waiting for her brother to respond to her voice. When Cameron Jr cracked a smile, Kessia spat, “He’s happy too, Mommy and Daddy!”

Sitting beside Keisha at the dinner table, Li’l Boo cleared his throat to speak. “That’s right, li’l man. I have a lot to teach you and I’ll always be there for you like my very own. I’m giving you all my word.” Li’l Boo looked seriously at each member sitting at the table.

The sincerity in Li’l Boo’s announcement in front of her family sent Keisha back to
joyful tears. “Our love brought you back to me, and it kept you for me. I’m so grateful to have you, Li’l
Boo.” Keisha recited his words to her back to him. “I love you so much, baby. My heart is yours,” Keisha said, overwhelmed with joy and happiness.

Grandma Ethel was delighted. After dinner, Keisha helped her grandmother wash dishes and they talked about married life. When they were finished, Grandma Ethel told the couple to go out and get a hotel room to celebrate. “I know how you young folks do it, but I’m from the old school. There will be none of that hanky panky carrying on under our roof until you two say ‘I do’. Now go on, you two, get out and enjoy yourselves. We’ll look after the kids.”

The two didn’t object. Keisha packed up an overnight bag and then they climbed into her new
Mercedes
and headed to a luxury hotel for a night of reconnecting, intimacy, and lovemaking. Keisha was long overdue and so was Li’l Boo.

__________

The next morning after a passionate night of lovemaking and promises to each other, Li’l Boo and Keisha got dressed to prepare for their day She was happy that Lil Boo’s colostomy bag had been removed and that she no longer had to concern herself about disrupting it when they made love.. Keisha threw on a pair of jean shorts that showed off her curves, a tank top, and a dazzling pair of sandals to show off her cute feet. Keisha pulled her hair into a neat ponytail, threw on a burgundy snapback hat, and let her ponytail hang out of its opening. After throwing her designer sunglasses on, Keisha dreaded hitting the humid Georgia summer heat.

“We gon’ be sweating before we make it to the car. This is worse than a Cali summer,” Keisha pouted. “I have to admit, I’m starting to miss Cali a lot.”

“My baby homesick,” Li’l Boo grabbed Keisha by the waist. “What you wanna do?”

Keisha’s face lit up, “Calabasas, California!” she announced excitedly. “I’ve been looking at homes online there and I wanna go back to the west.”

“Well, what’s stopping us? Let’s do it!” Li’l Boo replied. He was happy that Keisha was reconsidering Georgia because he wasn’t feeling relocating there too much himself, but he would have done it for her.

“The homes there are magnificent!” Keisha continued, but then her joyful moment came crashing down when she realized that her daughter’s life was in Georgia, and her grandmother would probably pitch a fit if Keisha tried to move Kessia back to California. “My G-Ma gon’ give me the blues if I try to take Kessia back to Cali, and that’s even if Kessia wants to go back. She loves it here,” Keisha said disappointedly.

“Kessia’s seven years old. She doesn’t know what she wants yet. She just wants to be in a secure, safe home. I know G-Ma has done a lot for our little girl, but we’re her parents. We have the final say.” Seeing how down Keisha looked about the situation, Li’l Boo told her that he would handle it. He planned on talking to Grandma Ethel and Kessia alone and he had a perfect idea. “Right now, let’s go to City Hall and get married.”

Keisha looked at Li’l Boo like he was nuts. “Get married at City Hall? Piru, I almost thought you were serious.” Keisha had expressed to him in the past that she wanted an extravagant and private wedding with all of her loved ones in attendance.

“I’m dead serious, Li’l Mama,” Li’l Boo stated seriously. “We can still hire your big Hollywood wedding planner and have a ceremony and the whole nine, but I don’t want to wait another second to make you my wife, Keisha,” Li’l Boo stated passionately.

When Keisha realized how serious Li’l Boo was, she looked at him like he was bananas. “But like this, Li’l Boo? I’m dressed in shorts and a tank top.”

Li’l Boo pulled Keisha close to him and spoke to her as he pecked her lips. “I’ll have you as you are, Li’l Mama. Real talk, all that other shit don’t impress me, but I’ll do it all for you.” Li’l Boo paused. “So are you with me or not?”

“Fuck it…let’s do it, baby,” Keisha agreed happily.

Li’l Boo wanted her as much as she wanted him. Keisha screamed inside to the heavens,
Thank you, Jesus, for bringing us back together. I promise you that I’m not going to mess this up. I’m ready to change and be a good mother and wife!
Keisha smiled happily on their way out the door.

__________

“Keisha
Jamison. I
gotta get used to my new last name,” Keisha said on their way out of the City Hall building.

“Yeah, and you also have to get that name removed off your neck, or add Jr. behind it,” Li’l Boo said, referring to the tattoo of Cameron’s name on Keisha. And although he suggested she add Jr. behind the name, he hoped she removed it entirely since he was aware of the true
origin
of the tattoo.

Damn, five minutes of being his wife and he’s already telling me what to do.
“Alright, no problem, I’ma handle that,” Keisha said as they climbed in the car.

“Thank you, my obedient wife.” Li’l Boo leaned over and kissed Keisha on the cheek when Cameron’s words smacked him upside the head.

I’ll always be the first dick that Keisha ever slobbed on…”
Li’l Boo frowned, imagining Keisha giving Cameron head, and it immediately disturbed his attitude. She had never given him oral pleasures before.

Keisha noticed the sudden change in Li’l Boo’s attitude. “What’s wrong, baby? You regretting that you wifed me already?” Keisha teased, hoping that the tattoo on her neck wasn’t the reason behind Li’l Boo’s shift in attitude.

“Naw, I’m good, Li’l Mama. It’s just hot as fuck out here.” Li’l Boo blasted the AC. He didn’t want to bring the issue up, but he thought to himself that Keisha had damn well better start giving him
head
. She had always told him how she was saving oral pleasures for her husband, and now he was hers.

After having lunch and drinks at Peachtree, they left the restaurant to return to her grandmother’s house to spend time with the kids before
going ba
ck to the hotel.

Thoughts of Keisha giving Cameron head had been tugging at Li’l Boo throughout the day, so once they got back in the car, Li’l Boo asked Keisha if her mouth was still virgin. He had to know.

The question made Keisha choke.
Fuck! Do I lie or tell the truth?
Keisha began to sweat. “Huh?” She pretended that she hadn’t heard him.

“Is your mouth still virgin?” He reminded her how she always told him she was saving oral sex for her husband. “You the only woman I know that has never had oral sex,” he added.

Keisha winked. “Well, I’ma wrap my lips around yours later tonight, husband.” She purposely dodged the question.

“So you kept to your word and ain’t never gave a nigga head before, Li’l Mama?” Li’l Boo asked again. He wasn’t going to allow Keisha to escape his question.

Keisha looked at Li’l Boo.
If I say yes, he might trip, but if I lie, he might find out the truth later.
Keisha decided to tell the truth. She didn’t want to start her marriage off with lies. “Never, baby.” Keisha couldn’t seem to allow the truth to come out of her mouth. She wanted their moment to be special, and since she had only given Cameron head twice, she figured her mouth was still somewhat virgin.

“Good, Li’l Mama,” Li’l Boo nodded.
I’ll find out who’s lying once Keisha puts my dick in her mouth.
He had been the first to put his penis in many females’ mouths, so he knew what was up.
